Armenian Minister to Discuss in London Success in Teaching Chess in Armenian Schools

On January 28 to 30, by the invitation of the Minister of State for Universities and Science of the United Kingdom, an MP David Willetts and Secretary of State for Education Michael Gove, the Minister of Education and Science of Armenia Armen Ashotyan will leave for London. He will take part in an international educational conference for Ministers of Education.

At the conference, Minister Ashotyan will present a report “Chess in Schools. Armenian history of success” and will present the experience of the program of teaching chess in Armenian schools. The conference is scheduled to discuss also bilateral relations on the legal and regulatory framework to ensure and improve the quality of education, the implementation of educational policy reforms in education systems. The Armenian delegation also includes the chairman of the Chess Academy of Armenia Smbat Lputyan.
