Stefan Fule Reaffirms EU Commitment to Support Educational Reforms in ARmenia

Minsiter of education and science of Armenia Armen Ashotyan on July 10 hosted the delegation headed by European commissioner for enlargement and European neighborhood policy Stefan Fule.  During the meeting several issues relating to Armenian secretariat of Bologna process and organization of ministers conference of Bologna process member states in Armenia in 2015. It was mentioned that Armenia is the only post Soviet country which took such responsibility. Minister of education and science of Armenia Ashotyan offered to introduce Armenian opinion of Bologna process secretariat during the non-official meeting of education ministers of Eastern Partnership in which will also take part European commissioner for enlargement and European neighborhood policy Stefan Fule. Armenian offer of forming ranking agency of Eastern Partnership higher education institutions was also discussed as well as issues relating to organization of regional meeting of educational misters in framework of Armenian presidency in Council of Europe which will take place on October 17-18. Commissioner Fule highly estimated the positive developments in Armenia-EU relations and reconfirmed EU commitment to support educational reforms in Armenia. The sides also discussed number of political issues.
