GSU Students are among the Best Students of the Republic of Armenia


Today the results of the “Best Student 2014” republican contest were summed up.

The solemn award ceremony was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia Armen Ashotyan and Deputy Director of Christian Education Center of the Armenian Apostolic Church Reverend Father Garekin Hambardzumyan, rectors of higher education institutions of RA, other representatives and students.

Mr. Minister welcomed the participants and mentioned that the contest aims to identify and encourage those students who are known for their high performance, professional achievements and social activity.

38 Bachelor and Master students from education institutions realizing professional higher education programs who have high performance were recognized the best in the corresponding nominations and won awards.

Three students having a significant role in spiritual life received a full compensation of tuition fees through the mediation of the Armenian Apostolic Church.

“Along with being an honor and a certificate approved gift this award also provides a financial support. This contest is the best evidence proving to you and your parents that with your intelligence, abilities and hard work you really deserve to be the best” – mentioned Armen Ashotyan congratulating the students who won the title of being the best.

Among the best students are Emma Lazyan – Master student of Gavar State University Philological Faculty, Armenian Language and Literature Department and Margar Hovhannisyan – Master Student of Natural Sciences Faculty, Informatics and Computer Engineering Department, who took the 2nd and 3rd places in the nominations of Humanities and Natural Sciences on Master Education Program.
