Institute Brief Outline

Yerevan Medical Institute after Mehrabyan (YMIM) is one of the best providers of higher and secondary education in Armenia. YMIM carries out higher (the faculty of dentistry, the faculty of pharmacy) and secondary education (midwifery science, nursing care, dental mechanic science, pharmacy, cosmetics and art of cosmetology) medical program syllabus, that trains doctors and medium-level medical personnel. Medical Institute was established in 1996.

The strict medical direction of the educational establishment gives an opportunity to concentrate all the working and material resources for the organization of qualitative and deep study of the subject. Studies are held in our bases, laboratories, lecture – rooms of the Institute, foremost clinics and the best hospitals of Armenia. The Institute is proud of its academic staff: highly skilled doctors, experienced teachers which guarantee the educational level corresponds to world standards. The Institute cooperates with famous foreign companies and realizes scientific and educational projects with them. Medical Institute after Mehrabyan is a member of GUIDE (ITALY) association. Armenian-Bulgarian Joint Medical Bulletin is successfully published since 2006. Cooperation agreements have been signed between YMIM and a number of leading medical Universities, Institutes and Colleges. Not only Armenian, but students from foreign countries study at the Medical Institute after Mehrabyan, too.

Admission of International Students

Foreign citizens, who do not know Armenian, must study at the preparatory course during a year. The curriculum of the preparation course includes Physics, Chemistry, Biology and language training. At the end of the academic year the students who successfully pass their final test examinations, enter the corresponding faculties or branches of the Institute and College.

- Bachelor course is available for those foreign citizens, who have completed the preparatory courses and know the Armenian language.
- Master course course is available for those, who have good knowledge of the Armenian language and have a bachelor’s degree.

- High school certificate (class X or XII) with the subjects and examination marks
- Medical certificate
- Copy of passport (including all pages)
- Application form (required information for issuing a Visa to the Republic of Armenia)
Medical Institute after Mehrabyan applies to the Ministry of Foreign affairs to get permission for the arrival of the invited foreign students.
After getting the admission the applicant gets the Visa in the RA embassy or consulate in the given country.
