Armenian-British Cooperation

The RA Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Armenia Mrs. Catherine Jane Lich on February 1st. A. Ahotyan wished her a productive work and expressed hope, that the Armenian-British relations in the educational area would acquire a new quality level, stressing the existing potential. The Armenian Minister mentioned the importance of the educational programs implemented by the British Council especially at initial, vocatianal and higher education spheres.

Presenting the educational reforms in our country, the Minister stated that Armenia had assumed the role of the Secretary of the Bologna process for 2012-2015 and suggested that the British council should take an active role in it.

Mrs. Catherine Jane Lich thanked the Minister for the meeting and added that the British side was willing to continue the already started programs and to discuss new joint projects.
