Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography
Located in Yerevan, the State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography has a history that dates back to 1944. It is well established in the film and theatre industry with acclaimed instructors. Now the institute has branches in Yerevan,
Gyumri, Goris, and Vanadzor, with the Yerevan branch housing the Hamazgayin Theater where students and graduates play.
Students enrolling in the undergraduate programs are exposed to a variety of courses in film, theater, media and television, as well as to hands-on experience with film and media productions and theater performances. The institute opened its doors for foreign students in 1961.

Education
The institute offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in four areas of studies including Theatre, Television and Animation, History and Theory of Art, and Art Management.
Career
It cooperates with the top local production companies and theaters to provide internship programs and industry placements for students. The university has its own theater hall and rehearsal spaces. The film production department has modern cinema facilities, post-production facilities, light and sound equipment. Preparatory courses are available for foreign students.
